Which National Park Trip Should We Take Next?
(There are so many we still need to see, it's hard to decide!)
Answer our two poll questions!
Sometimes it’s really difficult to determine where we want to visit next!
When determining what National Parks we want to see next, oftentimes we will think about the following factors:
How much time off can we take? Just a weekend, 5-7 days, or 10 days?
Can we visit just one National Park in the area, or several?
Do I have a reason to visit a certain area already, and we can add a National Park trip to our agenda?
What is the budget?
How many hours can we handle in the car with small children? (Big one!!)
Is there a way to circle through various National Parks in a very time efficient manner? (Like we did on our trip to Arches, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, & Rocky Mountain National Parks).

Without further ado …
Should we visit next …
1. Theodore Roosevelt N.P.
This trip has been on our radar for quite a while. It’s (fairly) close compared to most of the other N.P.’s on our list still to be seen, and we could also cross Badlands and Wind Cave N.P.’s off our list on this trip as well. We could also visit Mount Rushmore, too!
2. Glacier National Park
This is one of our most desired National Parks to visit (just look at that picture!), but it would be very difficult to get to. It’s a really long drive. Also, a drawback would be that there aren’t any National Parks very close to it, so we might only be able to visit just this one on the trip.
3. Zion National Park
This is another one that is very high on our list of potential National Parks to visit. It would be a little easier to visit than Glacier, but still looks to be incredibly beautiful with some of the nation’s most iconic hikes. (We are about to have 4 small children, though!). We could also visit a couple other National Parks in Utah, such as Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon, as well as Dinosaur National Monument. We could even swing back down and see the Grand Canyon again, this time from the North Rim instead of the South.
Decisions, decisions!
Which one would you choose?
(Don’t forget to answer the poll questions above and below!)
My youngest daughter and I visited Zion National Park at the beginning of March of this year and it was fabulous!
Any reasoning behind your choice?
